The activities of some criminally minded elements who specializes in defrauding unsuspecting citizens through non-existing contracts have been uncovered.

The Trumpet gathered that the fraudsters have sofar defrauded subtantial numbers of people in the last three months on the pretence of recommending their victims for the award of contracts and supplies of some goods.

The Trumpet reliably gathered that the fraudsters as parts of their operations, they will send an email message to their unsuspecting victims that they have recommended them for a contracts and they should forward their company profile for further discussion.

Narrating his ordeal one of the victim who escaped the dummy already sold to him by the criminals recently, he received a text message from one Onoja with phone numbers 091 25497372,” informing me that he has been recommended and mobilize with his office Federal Inland Revenue (FIR), headquarters in Abuja for the supply of Crusher Kit Model Zk 2.1 and 95 cartons of the interns is needed with price of N450,000 per carton. According to him.

The victim who pleaded for anonymous told our correspondent the fraudster who simply gave his name as Onoja, informed him that he has assisted him during his under graduate days at Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna.

“This is my own time to reward you for your kind gesture while in Minna as a student in FUT Minna.

At this point he further explained that a discussion commenced with the said Onoja, for him to really know the identity of the person speaking with him to confirm the genuiness of the proposed contact.

While the conversation was still going on, he told him that he will link him with the Director of procurement in the Federal Inland Revenue (FIR), one Dr. Idoko Abel on his phone numbers 08168791748 for further discussion on the said fake contract.

The said Dr. Idoko it was further gathered that put a call to the victim informing him that he has been recommended for the supply of 95 cartons of Crusher Kit Model Zk 2.1.

“That I should call one Alhaji Usman Bello on his phone line 09167987487 of Hitec Global Service who is the sale representative of the company that supply the interns”

“After our discussion with Alhaji Usman Bello he forwarded an account number 2302775734 of UBA belonging to one Chinasa Favor Chukwuemeka for the payment of N 150,000 for the transportation of the products to the destination.

” It was at this point that I came to realize that these guys are fraudsters that are out to defraud me.

” I don’t even know the said Onoja, who claimed to have graduated from FUT. I don’t know him. I just want the public to be careful these criminals have many ways of defrauding innocent people every day. He told our correspondent.

Thought several calls to the said Onoja, on his phone for his own comments could not be successful.

In an interview with Alhaji Usman Bello, the sale representative of Hitec Global Service who requested for N150,000 for the transportation of the products, He told The Trumpet that he was just doing his job, And I can just send our products without any down payment. We are into business and we are not into any criminal activity as you said.
