A Christian Cleric in Nasarawa State, Rev. Bitrus Kaya, has urged Christians and other Nigerians to celebrate God with Thanksgiving at all times and have absolute trust in him to take charge of all their affairs.
This, he said, is to get God’s abundant blessings, protection, favours and to inherit the kingdom of God .
Kaya, who is the Reverend in-charge of ECWA Goodnews, Garaku, Kokona LGA made the call while presiding over the Church Sunday Mass today.
He took his reading from Psalm 95:1-7 with the topic ” Let’s Celebrate God with Thanksgiving”
He said Christians should celebrate God as he is the savior and owner of the universe.
According to him, Come, let us sing for joy to the lord, let us shout aloud to the rock of our salvation.
“Let’s celebrate God with Thanksgiving as the Lord is our king, God is our strength, our maker and deliverance, our protector,” he said.
He called on Christians and other Nigerians to live a life worthy of emulation by shunning sinful acts.
The Reverend appealed to the Speaker to assist the youths of the area and other places via employment opportunities and empowerment.
The church prayed for the Speaker to succeed in his new assignment as well as to discharge his duties without fear or favour.
The religion leader also prayed for the success of its members and other Nigerians in their daily activities.
Kaya also prayed for the unity, peace, progress and development of the State and the country at large.
Hon Danladi Jatau, the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly while addressing the church appreciated God for his emergence as the Speaker of the 7th Assembly in the State.
He also appreciated his colleagues and Gov. Abdullahi Sule for their support to enable him be came speaker leader of the House.
” His Excellency, Engr. A A Sule supported my aspiration to be the Speaker of the House by asking my colleagues to support me, I want to thank him for that gesture
” I also want to appreciate my colleagues for electing me as their Speaker. When I was nominated, all of them supported including my brother, Hon Daniel Ogazi.
The Speaker solicited for prayers from all and sundry to enable him succeed, adding that prayer is key to success.
He called on citizens to continue to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
He urged the people to avoid religious and ethnic politics as well as embrace unity and peace for the overall development of the country.
Besides, he promised not to fail while discharging his duties.
It would be reported that the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau worship in the church with his entourage.
