Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has felicitated with the Emir of Lafia Justice Sidi Bage (Rtd) over his appointment as Chancellor, University of Maiduguri.

The Speaker, Balarabe Abdullahi also identified with the Monarch over the conferment of honorary doctorate degree in law by the institution.

A statement by Press Secretary to the Speaker, Jibrin Gwamna quotes the Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi as describing the appointment of the Emir of Lafia as well deserved.

Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi said the appointment of Emir of Lafia as Chancellor, University of Maiduguri and conferement of honorary doctorate degree in law by the institution is a honour not only to the Royal Father but the State at large.

While congratulating the Emir of Lafia, Lafia Emirate Council, the State Council of Chiefs and indeed the entire people of Nasarawa State over the honour on the Emir of Lafia, Retired Justice Sidi Bage, the Nasarawa State Number Three Citizen Balarabe Abdullahi wished him more successes and breakthrough in the years ahead.

Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi called on all to continue to support and pray for the Emir of Lafia to enable him succeed in the task ahead of him.
