The Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has requested for collective synergies with other relevant security agencies towards ensuring safety of the state.
The state commandant of the corps in Niger state Dr. Elijah Etim Willie made the request during his ongoing familiarization visit to Zonal headquarters of the Federal Fire Service in Minna Tuesday.
He noted that the request has become imperative as a result of the vers land in the state which according to the commandant Niger state has the largest land mass in the country which needed the collective responsibility of all security agencies to safeguard the citizens.
According to him it is only teamwork among the sister security agencies in the state that will ensure the security of the state inview of the strategic location of Niger state stressing the need for all stakeholders in the security apparatus in the state to synergise to make the state safe.
” The strategic location of Niger need a collective responsibility of all security agencies to safeguard the state.
” By the time we partner as security agencies we can ensure the security of the citizens of the state.
” We have to partner as a team players to make the state and the people to go about their legitimate business without any fear of attack from criminally minded elements.” he noted.
He disclosed that his visit to the Zonal headquarters of the Federal Fire Service is part of his ongoing familiarization visit to all sister agencies in Niger State to seek for their support in ensuring that they partner each other to build confidence on the people of the state of their safety assuring that his command continue to work with other sister security agencies in securing the state.
While receiving the state commandant the Zonal Controller of FFS in Niger State Assistant Controller General Ahmed Garba Karaye commended the commandant for the visit and assured him of the Zone preparedness to work with other sister agencies in the state.
He noted that the Federal Fire Service as a paramilitary organization under the Federal Ministry of Interior with the NSCDC the need for partnership cannot be overemphasize adding that ” we need a collective responsibility to work with other security outfits in the state”
He explained that the Zonal Headquarters of the service have a duty like any other security agencies in the state to ensure the security of lives and property of the people at all times.
