The newly deployed Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Dr Elijah Willie Etim,,has promised to further build on the cordial working that exist between the Niger State Police Command and the Corp.towards securing the state.

He stated that he was informed of the already established working synergies that exist among the security agencies in the state Particularly the Niger police command in Intelligent sharing assuring that he will continue to build on that in making the state unbearable for criminally minded elements.

The Commandant made the promised during a familiarization visit to the Commissioner of police Mr Joshua Ayodele Adedeji in his office at Dutsen Kura in Minna Wednesday.

According to the commandant the NSCDC as a sister agency has the mandate to collaborate with other security outfits in safeguarding the citizens stressing that the corps under his leadership in Niger would not under any reason undermine the already existing working synergies with the Niger state police command and other sister agencies.

” We have a duty to ensure the security of the citizens .We have a duty to partner in intelligent sharing to safeguard the lives and property of the people.
” We can Collectively achieve this responsibility as a team player through Intelligent gathering and sharing so that we can make Niger state a crime free from these Criminal elements.
” My visit to your command is to allign my self and the state command of the Corp for us to chase these criminally minded elements from the state” he told the Commissioner of police.

Dr. Willie Etim assured the Commissioner of police that the NSCDC under his watch will continue to work with the police command in ensuring that the people of Niger go about their legitimate business without any molestation at all time.

Receiving the Commandant , the Commissioner of police Mr Joshua Ayodele Adedeji commended the commandant for the visit and told him that state the police command has a good working relationship with successive leadership of the NSCDC.

He told the commandant that the state police command will continue to partner with other sister security agencies in information and intelligent sharing towards achieving the set goal of safeguarding the People of the state.

While assuring the Commandant of his command readiness to work in ensuring crime free Niger state, Mr. Ayodele Adedeji emphasize the need for collective synergies in the Protection of lives and property of the people.
