The newly posted commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to Niger State Dr. Elijah Willie Etim has assumed duty in Minna with a warning to vandals and other criminal elements in the state to turn a new leaf or be prepared to face the wrath of the command.

He stated that he will make the state inhabitable for vandals of critical national assets and other criminal minded individuals in the and warned that they should either look for legitimate means of their livelyhood or they should relocate from Niger state for their own safety.

This was contained in a press statement issued by the head of Public Relation Officer of the corps in Niger Nasir Abdullahi Kuta DSC and obtained by Trumpet in Minna explained that the newly deployed commandant of the NSCDC promised to deploy all the needed professionalism to safeguard critical national assets in the state.

According to the commandant the corps under his watch will not allow the activities of vandals of national assets in the state undermine his command warning that he will go all out for them to make the state unbearable for vandals and other criminal minded elements in the state.

” Let me sound this warning for the first time. My deployment to Niger State command of the NSCDC is to ensure the Protection and safety of government facilities and that of national assets in Niger State.

” I will deploy all the professional means to make Niger state a no go area for vandals and their activitiesThey should either turn to a lawful and legitimate business or they should be prepared to face the full wrath of the command under my watch.

” I’m assuring them that I will chase them out of Niger state by using the crack and our well trained operatives to make the state unbearable for them. In their own interest they should steer clear from Niger state before we clamp on them” he declared

He maintained that the command will continue in its determination to rid the state of the activities of vandals has mapped out a strategy aimed at ensuring the Protection of all the critical national installations across the state.

The strategy according to him include aggressive patrol of pipeline, rail tracks, communications Mars and other critical national assets in the state to safeguard them from vandals.

He appealed to Community leaders and traditional leaders as well as other members of the society to partner with his command to safeguard and Protect the government installations in their against been vandalize stressing that that the safety and security of the state is a collective responsibility of and sundry.
