The Nasarawa state House of Assembly Lawmakers are to cut – off their recess to hold an emergency sitting this week Thursday 24th and Friday 25th of August, 2023 to attend to important State matters.

This was contained in a statement signed by Acting Clerk of the House Ibrahim Musa and made available to Newsmen in Lafia the State Capital today, Tuesday.

According to the statement, the sitting is at the instance of the Speaker Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi.

The statement called on all Honourable Members of the House to attend the sitting unfailingly to attend to an important state matters.

“The sitting is to hold at the Assembly complex Shendam Road Lafia by 10 O’clock in the morning. According to the statement.

It added that all Clerks at table and other chamber staff are expected to be on hand by 9 o’clock in the morning for all necessary arrangements for the sitting.

It would be recalled that Hon. Members of the 7th Nasarawa State House of Assembly has proceeded on recess Wednesday 2nd August, 2023 to resume on 4th September, 2023 but has to by this statement suspend their holidays and re-converged for an emergency sitting for Two days as directed by Mr Speaker, Rt.Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi holding this week between Thursday and Friday respectively.
