
Some Members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly has sought for effective partnership with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC), in order to engage the youths, promote unity and peace in their constituencies and the State at large.
The Lawmakers led by Hon. Musa Saidu Gude(SDP Ukye/Karshi) had on Tuesday visited the the Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corpse NSCDC Dr Muhammed Abubakar Audi in his office in Abuja to Seek for effective synergy on Youths engagement.
Hon Gude who is the Deputy Minority Whip of the House said that effective partnership with the NSCDC would not only promote peace but would bring speedy development to their constituencies and the State at large.
” We are here to appreciate you for the good work that you are doing for Nigerians in the area of youth engagement, unity and peace.
” as the importance of NSCDC in promoting peace and unity could not be overemphasized
” also is to seek for your partnership and support in the areas of youth engagement, unity and peace in our various constituencies and the State at large, ” he said.
Gude also assured of their readiness to partner other security agencies in curtailing criminal activities as well as to promote peace in the State.
He restated the 7th Assembly’s commitment to key into good policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the State.
The Deputy Minority Whip further assured of quality and sound representation at the state legislature.
The lawmaker called on the people of his constituency and the State to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and co-exist peacefully for development to thrive.
Responding, the Commandant General of NSCDC Dr. Muhammad Abubakar Audi appreciated the lawmakers for the visit and assured of his readiness to collaborate with the lawmakers to promote unity and peace in Nasarawa State being a son of the soil.
It will be reported that the State lawmakers that visited the NSCDC boss included Hon. Hudu A Hudu(APC Awe North) Hon. Emmanuel Manding (APC Wamba) and member representing Keffi East among others.
