The Senator who represented Nasarawa South senatorial destruct, Umar Tanko Al-Makura says he will remain in All Progressive Congress (APC) and never thinks of leaving the party.

In a statement made available to journalists in Lafia the state capital, by his Press Secretary, Danjuma Joseph said there was news circulating, which is fake from the pit of hell and the figment of imagination of rumour mongers who peddles wrong information around.

According to the statement, “The attention of His Excellency, Distinguish Senator Umar Tanko Al-Makura (Sarduanan Gwandara), has been drawn to yet another fake news on a social media platform called ‘Nasarawa Info-Pedia’, with the caption “Breaking News:Distinguish Sen Tanko Al-Makura, is set to dump APC for NNPP Allah Sarki”

The statement further said that, “Senator Al-Makura, was a founding member of CPC who later became APC, where he became governor and now Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

He is still in APC and has never contemplated leaving the party for any reason.
He therefore call on the general public to disregard this mischievous news.

Senator Umar Tanko Almakura of Nasarawa state obviously belongs to the school of thought that believes that for a man to be seen as accomplished, he must be ready to face any battle that comes his way and give it all it takes, not in a diabolical or violent way, but in a manner that allows destiny to take its cause.

So, each time an opportunity provides itself, the trained businessman-turned politician, is always ready to face the storm and fight it to the end.

From his school days to his years of working and going into business, to entering politics, Almakura, has never relented in battling obstacles and he has the grace of coming out victorious in almost all his life challenges.

The story of the emergence of Almakura , a multi-talented young man as the Governor of Nasarawa State in 2011 was an eloquent testimony of a man entrusted by destiny and the unmistaken hand of God to salvage his people and generation at a critical and agonizing moment of the people’s quest for development.

Senator Almakura later began to govern Nasarawa State with wisdom and determination, which later resulted into developments in all ramifications in the state.

He shamed the critics, who thought he had very little to offer. Not only did he perform, he surpassed the achievements of all his predecessors put together.

His victory at the poll was indeed a deserved victory that enabled Senator Almakura to settle down to face the real work of governance, which he gave the people of Nasarawa State in full dose, ranging from infrastructural development to healthcare, education, employment, sports, youth/women development and empowerment, among several others.

After four years of meritorious service, Senator Almakura was elected to serve for another four years .

This was a remarkable success for the man the people of Nasarawa State believe has the capacity to make life better for them and continue what he started in his first term.

It was a moment of decision for the people of Nasarawa State, who were later convinced that they made the right choice once again.

Senator Almakura is a man that pursues any cause he believes in to a logical conclusion.
Almakura has always proven that he can tread where others fear to follow and that with strong determination, nothing is difficult to achieve.

The truth is that those criticising Senator Umar Tanko Al-Makura are ignorant of leadership and governance and are only sentimental about the truth and in search for cheap popularity to revive their political base.

He insisted that those accusing the governor of not doing enough are either shying away from the truth or are just being ignorant to what quality leadership is, because Senator Al-mkaru, a former governor of Nasarawa State and a former Senator representing his constituency, has shown capacity and leadership over the years as a man that can be trusted with power at any level.

When he was governor of Nasarawa State, there is no doubt, even enemies of the State attested to the fact that the state witnessed tremendous development in all facets within the 8 years of his administration.

“The education sector got a boost, human capital development, infrastructural development- both within and outside the state capital was at its peak during the 8 years of Almakura.”
