House of Representatives Member representing Jos South-Jos East Federal Constituency at the National Assembly Hon.Musa Dachung Bagos has advocated for the creation of State Police and called for unity of purpose to end the incessant attacks on innocent Villagers in Plateau State.
He said the creation of state police is the only remedy to reduce the age-long insecurity challenges in Plateau State in particular and Nigeria as a whole.
The Lawmaker who was reelected back to the Green chambers for the second term
tasks all supporters of all different political leaders to unite despite their differences and rally support for effective governance.
Hon. Bagos stated this in Jos while Speaking during his re-election inauguration reception organised by his Constituents to honour him held at the marine event Centre in Jos, Plateau state.
“Well, you’re all aware of what happened during the election and high in different devices. It is time for governance and I want to call all Plateau people to be united irrespective of religion, ethnicity or political party and ensure we support the government of the day to get the dividends of democracy.
“Once we’re not united we cannot actualize and achieve our expectations. So unity is the key word.
While Speaking on measures to overcome insecurity which has become a nightmare that led to the death of many innocent souls on the Plateau. Bagos said it is unfortunate.
“Most often time, we clearly and consistently said, even in the past administration we said that the governor does not have the capacity we need state police.
“Federal level should be able to understand what is happening on the Plateau and reason with us because it is high time to address this issue once. We want the Federal government to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators and give justice to the facilities of those that were killed.”
The Lawmaker assured to continue entrenching effectively to his constituents, most especially in terms of equipping the present and future generations.
“As a Lawmaker, I will double my effort to do my best more than the first tenure, I will not disappoint on the mandate given to me, and I will perform my best in the second term, I want to assure you that I will not disappoint you”.
Plateau State Deputy Governor Hon. Josephine Piyo, Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Moses Sule, Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Fom Dalyop, National and State Assembly Members, Traditional Rulers, stakeholders, family and Political associates all attended the reception.
