There is a palpable fear and tension in Mokwa local government area of Niger state over the released of some hudlooms who killed Saidu Alhassan of Epa village in Mokwa local government.

Some group of hudlooms from Etisheshi area of the same Mokwa town engaged the residents of Epah Community some times in March, over a farmland belonging to the Epah Community

The trumpet gathered that the farmland have been a subject of litigation in the last four years as the Etisheshi Community are claiming ownership of the farmland in dispute which resulted in to deadly attack on Epah villagers.

It was Further gathered that Within the last four years of the dispute, Epah Community have suffered monumental havock in the hands of the youths from Etisheshi Community as their houses and farm products as well as lives have been destroyed by the Etisheshi youths.

Saidu Alhassan was followed to his hospital bed in Mokwa General Hospital and killed by some youths during one of the crisis in early May this years..

During the attack on the General Hospital, the youths who stormed the hospital in their large numbers chased away the doctors and the nurses on duty before they killed the deceased.

Men of the Mokwa Divisional Police Command swiftly moved in and effected the arrest of fifteen persons believed to have perpetrated the attacks and the killing of the deceased.

They were transferred to the State Criminal investigation and intelligent department (SCIID) of the Niger State Police Command for discret Investigation after which six of them believed to have masterminded the killing were arraigned before a Minna Chief Magistrate Court for culpable homicide under section 221 of the penal code.

The offence in which they were charged attract death penality if found guilty by a High court.

The trumpet findings in Mokwa revealed that the released of three persons said to have masterminded the killing of Saidu Alhassan on the advised of the Director of Public Prosecution in the Ministry of Justice in Niger state Mr Moses Gamzhi Chiroma has posed a serious tension in Mokwa town as the youths from Epah have threatened to revenge the killing of their brother.

” We are ready to go after these three people that were released from Prison if nothing is done by the appropriate authority.
” These people were the real culprits that follow Saidu Alhassan to his hospital bed and killed him. If nothing is done we are ready to take the law into our hands” a youth leader who crave for anonymous told the trumpet.

Already tension is enveloping in the both Communities as a result of the released of the three hudlooms alleged to have killed the deceased.

The Director of Public Prosecution in Niger State Ministry of Justice Mr Moses Gamzhi Chiroma in an interview with the trumpet stated that his advised for the released of the three persons was based on the content of the case file duplicated to his office by the men of the State Criminal investigation and intelligent department (SCIID)

” My advice for the released of the people was based on what the police from the SCIID brought to me. If the police in their own investigation they said no case against them should I continue to detain them”?.
” If they have questions as regards to their release they should Chanel their questions to the police. My own job is to give advise base on the police made available to my office” he told the trumpet.
