The 13 LG Chairmen in Nasarawa State under the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria ( ALGON) Nasarawa State Chapter, has backed Gov. Abdullahi Sule and leadership of All Progressives Congress ( APC) positions on Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi as Speaker of the Seventh Assembly.

The AlGON Chairman, who is the Chairman, Lafia LGA, Hon Mu’azu Aminu Maifata made the association’s position known when they paid a courtesy visit on Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the state LEGISLATURE in his residence today in Lafia.

It was reported that the LG Chairmen converged on the residence of the Speaker with their supporters across the 13 LGAs including youth and women carrying posters of the Speaker in solidarity and matched to the gate of the assembly complex.

Speaking, the ALGON Chairman said their position on Speaker Balarabe was in the interest of stability, peace, progress and development of the state.

Maifata congratulated Speaker Balarabe on his emergence as Speaker of the Seventh Assembly and wished him peaceful tenure.

” We are here to congratulate you on your emergence as Speaker of the Seventh Assembly.

” Where the Governor and the Party stand, are where we are, most importantly that you have done well in the 5th and 6th Assembly as Speaker.

” What we want is stability, peace, progress and development of the state,” he said.

The ALGON Chairman assured Speaker Balarabe of their prayers and support at all times.

Responding, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the state legislature appreciated AlGON for the visit and assured of his readiness to partner with them to move the local government areas forward.

He assured them that the crisis would soon be put to rest in the interest of the state.
