An Eleven members committee to screen the activity of Edati Local government Education Authority has uncovered a monumental frauds been perpetrated by some officials of the Local Education Authority (LEA),

The Screening committee headed by an erudite educationist Elder Jonah Ndayagi Yisa was constituted by the executive chairman of the council Mr. Sunday Daniel Yisa Bologi has in the last one month of the commencement of the exercise discovered shocking fraudulent activities in the LEA.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with The trumpet in his residence in Minna Elder Jonah Ndayagi disclosed that the. committee has unraveled so many aberrations regarding the payroll of teachers in the local education authority LEA of Edati Local government.

According to Elder Jonah Yisa, the screening has just commenced with the local education authority of Edati Local government after having interface with all the critical stakeholders in the LEA after going through all the registers and other documents ” what we discovered could best be described as an aberration”

He stated that the screening committee in its findings discovered that some of the teachers were under paid while received over above their salaries disclosing that ” in some cases people that retired from the service in the last ten years their names are still on the payroll even the death their names are still on the payroll. Where is these money going the committee will still unraveled it” he told trumpet

” The has just started working. The committee started with the education unit of Edati Local Education unit.
Continuing,” We look at the papers and the files both the admin staff and the teachers files. One thing that we discovered is that the registry problems. Registry problems in the scenes that people were employed without files.

” These and many other aberation were discovered by the screening committee under my leadership and as we still Progress with our finding we will discover many other aberration” he disclosed

He said the committee is commuted to extend its screenings exercise to other units of the local government with a view to unraveling the fraudulent activities been perpetrating in the local government stressing the need for the council chairman to have the political wills to implement the recommendation of the committee .

” It is our hope and prayers for the local government Chairman to implement our recommendation. When he inaugurated the committee, I told him in my acceptance speech, that our names and integrity is at stake.
Adding that, ” that if you he can have the political wills to implement our recommendation and sanction who ever is found wanting in the report it will serve as a deterrent to others.
” A situation that he will just throw our recommendation under the carpet then,his name as the council chairman and our name and our integrity will be at stake” he told the trumpet.

He commended the executive chairman for seeing them worthy among the people of Edati Local government to bestow on them this assignment assuring that they will work round the clocks to come out with the desiring result in the committee .
