The Chief Of Staff to the Niger State governor Hon. Abdullahi Usman Gbatamagi stated that he was in the National Assembly Elections petition Tribunal (ETP) to challenge the mandate given to him by his Constituencies at the February 25 National Assembly Elections.
He said his Constituencies and his party the rulling All Progressive Congress (APC), took the matter to the tribunal challenging his stolen mandate by the People Democratic party (PDP) candidate Hon. Joshua Gana at the February 25 National Assembly Elections.
Speaking with Journalists shortly after testifying before the panel two of the National Assembly Elections petition Tribunal headed by Justice Godspower Agwuna at High court Complex in Minna Monday the Chief of staff reiterated that he will pursue stolen his mandate at the tribunal in a civilized way.
” My constituencies and my party,the APC felt that their mandate were stolen by the opposition People Democratic party (PDP). I’m pursuing the mandate in a very civilized way.

” And they have approached the tribunal to reclaim their stolen mandate they Collectively gave me at the National Assembly Election which was Conducted on the 25 of February 2023 ” he told Journalists.
Abdullahi Usman Gbatamagi had approached the three member National Assembly Elections petition Tribunal led by Justice Godspower Agwuna through his counsel Johnson Jacob Usman SAN, to challenge the election of Joshua Gana.
Gbatamagi in his petition, claimed that he won the lawful votes of the three federal Constituency of Edati Lavun and Mokwa at the February 25 National Assembly Elections and seeking the tribunal to uptuned the Election and declare him the rightful winner of the election
According to the Chief of staff, the Election of the people Democratic party candidate at the February 25 National Assembly Elections was recorded with slot of malpractice ballot stuffing, over voting and so many irregularities,” and my people felt that their mandate were stolen and they approached the tribunal to reclaim their mandate”
Joshua Jerry Gana ,the son to the former Minister of Information Professor Jerry Gana of the opposition People Democratic party (PDP) was declared winner of the February 25 National Assembly Elections.
He contested along with the plaintiff at the tribunal Usman Gbatamagi who was just sworn in as the the Chief of Staff to the Rt Hon Mohammed Umar Bago governor of Niger state , and he was flored at the polls.
He then through his counsel Jacob Johnson Usman SAN approached the tribunal to challenge the Election of Joshua Jerry Gana insisting that he was robbed of his mandate ” and I’m in the tribunal to reclaim it “
He said he will be declared the rightful winner of the February 25 National Assembly Elections ” to represent the good people of Edati Lavun and Mokwa federal Constituency at the lower chamber of the National Assembly”
However, the case has been adjourned to 14 June for more witnesses to appear to give evidences.
