Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State Legislative Arm has passed vote of confidence on the council Chairman, Arc, Ahmad Sarki Usman for his inclusiveness leadership style in the area.

The Majority leader of Doma Legislative arm, Hon. Aliyu Ibrahim who made this known during an emergency sitting of the lawmakers held at their chambers in Doma.

He used the meeting to denounced the Purported suspension of the council Chairman Arc, Sarki by unknown members according to him.

He pointed out that six out of ten members of the legislative arm of the local government have passed a vote of confidence on the council Chairman.

” Since the assumption of the council Chairman in office about one year ago he succeeded in transformed the local government area particularly in the area of peace, unity, economic empowerment and security of lives and property.

He vehemently dismissed the purported suspension of the Council Chairman Arc, Sarki by four legislators.

The Majority leader noted with dismay, the purported suspension of the local government council Chairman through a press statement even when members had been on recess.

He stated that the four out of ten members of the legislative arm lack the constitutional powers to convene a sitting saying their actions and resolutions passed during their meeting were null and void and cannot stand.
He appealed to people of, Doma local government to go about their normal businesses as, Arc, Sarki, is still the council chairman.

“As far as we are concerned we are not party to the so called suspension or received any documents in that regards.

Hon. Ibrahim Aliyu further explained that Doma local government area had witnessed tremendous people oriented policy and program under the leadership of the council Chairman henced there is a need for all of us to rally round him to continue with his pragmatics ideas not condemnation.

He called on the four legislative members to desist from allowing themselves to be used as tools for some politicians whose intentions were not in the interest of the people.

As the time of going to the press all efforts to reach the four members for their comments on the purported suspension of the DOMA local government council Chairman was not successful as all their telephone lines were switched off.
