  Kebbi Flour Mills to commence operations: From Abubakar Suleiman The pioneer Flour Mills in Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara States has commenced operation in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State Capital. The firm was established by the Kebbi State Government under the able leadership of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu. This came to the fore on Thursday when Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, CON visited the company at Bulasa industrial zone in Birnin Kebbi to assess its operations. According to the press release. “My administration initiated the project to transform the industrial ecosystem in the state and the country in general. Governor Bagudu Stated. Governor Bagudu who is the Vice Chairman of the National Food Security Council commended the firm for job well done , Just as he showered encomium on state Ministry of Agriculture and Wheat Farmers Association. “Governor Bagudu who is also the Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on Wheat and Rice Production noted that Kebbi State and Nigeria were becoming increasingly important players in wheat production. The press release added. According to Bagudu, the firm would add value to the economy of the state and that of the country. He also expressed delight that it was commencing operations with just about two weeks to the beginning of the Ramadan fast. He extolled President Muhammadu Buhari for raising the consciousness of Nigerians on producing what they eat. He also expressed optimism that the duo of President-elect, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shetima will sustain the feat. The Plant Engineer, Ayuba Musa Kudu had earlier told the Governor that the initial installed capacity of the Compact Milling System is 1,800 kg or 18 tonnes per hour.He said that it can produce semolina, “burabusco” and wheat brand that is used as animal feeds. On his part former Commissioner of Agriculture, Barrister Attahiru Maccido gave glad tidings that the Wheat produced by farmers and other parts of the places would be purchased as raw materials by the company which according to him would increase their profit margin. He emphasized that the quality of the various flour produced by the mill was of high quality, competitive on the international market, saying that the company also has an objective to export its products to other African countries. Also permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Mr.Joel Aiki expressed expressed joy over the development. He commended Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for his robust effort and zeal to industrialized the State particularly with installation of the State of art machines in the factory.

Musa Yusuf Omaki, former chairman Toto LGA, Prince Nuhu Adamu Dauda, the Overseer of the Development Area, Iliyasu Miriyam, APC chairman Toto LGA, Shuaibu Ahmed, woman leader of the area among others said Balarabe Abdullahi remains the best choice of the people of Umaisha/ Ugya constituency considering his track record of achievements.They revealed that the people of the area are proud of the performance of the Speaker Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and are ready to vote massively on Saturday to ensure his victory at the poll.For an elder statesman in the area, Alh Sule Apolo, village heads and community leaders as well as youths and women groups said they have no reason not to return Balarabe Abdullahi to the House because he has shown to the people that politics has benefit and they can not afford to make a mistake of not returning him to the state legislature because they have benefited a lot under his leadership.While the Chairman Toto LGA, Hon Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas has said that Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi remains the best man for the job.For the man of the moment and Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has said that as a servant of his people he will continue to do his best for them.
