Ramadan : Speaker NSHA Salute Muslims calls for fervent prayers for leaders, state and Nigeria. From Abubakar Suleiman Lafia Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alh. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has congratulated Muslims for witnessing the new mouth of Ramadan and successfully ushering in the Ramadan fasting.A statement by Press Secretary to the Speaker Jibrin Gwamna Quotes the Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi as describing the mouth as special and very significant among the Muslim communities hence the need to appreciate God and identify with each other for witnessing the holy mouth.The Nasarawa State Number Three Citizen enjoined Muslims to use the holy mouth to pray fervently for leaders at all levels to succeed, pray for the State and the country at large to overcome its emerging challenges.Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi also called on well to do individuals in the society to use the period and support the less previleged ones among them to enable them observe the fasting with ease and have sense of belonging.Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi congratulated the entire Muslim communities in the State and beyond and wish them successful 2023 Ramadan fasting with aboundant blessings.

KOBA felicitates with Gov.Sule, Speaker, Omadefu others over election victory.Keffi Old Boys Association KOBA, Nasarawa State chapter has thrown it’s weight behind the victory of Governor Abdullahi Sule in Saturday’s election.This was contained in a statement signed by the State KOBA president Arch. Umar Shittu and made available to newsmen in Lafia the Nasarawa State Capital today.The statement congratulated the Governor Engr. Abdullahi Sule on his re-election bid noting that the victory has demonstrated the trust and confidence the people of the state have on his leadership.The statement also identified with the Speaker of the State Assembly Rt.Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and all others elected for the State House of Assembly and wish them well.The statement added that KOBA specifically identified with one of its members Hon. Muhammad Adamu Omadefu Who was re-elected to represent keana constituency at the State House of Assembly.The statement while wishing them God’s guidance as they prepare to settle down on the task ahead of them enjoined them to work in synergy for the overall peace and progress of the state.

NSHA. The 2023 Election and the 7th Assembly.”… APC 11 members, PDP 8 members, SDP 2 members, NNPP 2 members, pending 1, making total of 24…”10 out of the 24 Hon. Members of the 6th Nasarawa State House of Assembly are returning to the 7th Assembly that is expected to be inaugurated on June this year.However, at the time of this report, the result for Lafia Central Constituency is yet to be announced so it is pending ( was declared inconclusive).Out of the 24 Hon members of the current 6th Assembly, 3 which are those of Wamba, Keffi East and Karu/Gitata did not contest for the state assembly election.However, while Lafia Central is pending for now, Umaisha /Ugya, Kokona West and Kokona East, Keffi West, Akwanga North, Nasarawa Eggon West, Awe South, Keana, Obi 1 and Obi 2 constituencies got their return tickets while others could not make it.POLITICAL PARTIES AND WHO FORMS THE MAJORITY.As the House stands at the moment.7TH ASSEMBLY.APC = 11.PDP = 8.SDP = 2.NNPP = 2.One pending, Lafia Central which was declared inconclusive.These completes the total of 24 Hon. Members of the House.
