Gawuna promises LG Autonomy If elected From Abubakar Suleiman The Deputy Governor of Kano State and All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Candidate Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna has pledge to give Local governments autonomy to operate if elected as Governor. He stated this while featuring in the Nigeria Television Authority’s (NTA) Network Programme “The Ballot”.”Local Governments are integral part of the government and is the tier close to the people that facilitates more development and distribution of resources and services. A statement by the, Chief Press Sectary to the Kano state Deputy Governor Hassan Musa Fagge quoted his Boss as saying as former local government chairman “I know what its administration is all about”.When I was a local government chairman,I was given free hand to operate. “This made us to achieve alot of successes therefore if elected as Governor I would reciprocate that Gawuna explained. The Kano state Governorship Candidate, Dr. Gawuna said he is the most qualified and prepared to be the next Governor of the State having worked with the previous administrations and have garnered alot of experience. He assures people of Kano state his combat ready to consolidate on their achievements as part of continuity policy. Gawuna also urge the electorates to avoid violence and conduct themselves in a peaceful and orderly manner during the election.
